Steam Tag Recommender

Guided questions map your game to ranked tags with short explanations — plus optional A/B comparison.

We combine genre, mechanics, pace, setting, and player modes with a hand-tuned tag pool. Conflicting tags reduce scores.

Load a preset or answer the form. Tags are ranked with explainable bonuses and conflict penalties.

Mechanics (multi-select)

Aligns with Steam’s tag wizard (mechanics, themes, activities). See Steam Tags and popular tags.

Avoid over-tagging: prefer 5–10 accurate tags over 15 broad ones. See Steam tagging rules.

Is this list official Steam tags?
It uses a curated subset and scoring model for education. Always pick tags that truly match your game.
Why avoid broad tags?
Broad tags dilute discovery when niche tags fit better; we apply a small penalty to overly broad labels.
